So there has been a lot of shit in the politics lately. So much that I'm only gonna cover one thing that has pissed me off for the last seven years, gun control. In the last year there has been a couple of shootings and of course the outcry to restrict guns further. I'm very annoyed by these people as most of them know nothing of the laws or anything for the matter dealing with firearms. Half the problem is that bureaucracy prevents the laws that are already in place from being effective.
On a side note I love how the news has covered the Omaha Mall Shootings, they have over glorified it and given misleading information to support themselves. They have reported the weapon every time as an AK style weapon or an Assault Rifle. The gun he used was an SKS. This is a soviet style semi-auto carbine rifle. It has a ten round internal magazine. It is in no way related to the AK family other than it uses the same legal ammo, nor is in under the AWB definition of an Assault Rifle. The SKS is completely legal. So that is twice that the media has blatantly lied about this tragedy, or they simply didn't know jack shit about it and rather than doing the responsible thing as a news agency and looking it up they made it up. The sad thing is they did it for either ratings or to support their anti-gun views. My heart goes out to the individuals and families of this event. It is a shame that the media dishonors them in this way.
They keep saying that if we make guns harder to get that they will less likely get them. But this only works if they get it though a legal channel, if they get it illegally that's a whole different story.
